Seeing Double!!

                                          Mary Stewart & Randi Marie

Kinda crazy how much they resemble each other.
I've come to the conclusion after seeing this comparison and looking at my fair skinned, red headed baby, the Donald genes sure are dominant in our family!

Hope you all are having a great week!

Dan-Dee, Oh Dan-Dee

Mary Stewart is a creature of habit (I wonder where she gets it from). Her morning routine goes something like this:
She wakes up and loves being in her bed with her lovies & her pie (pacifier which she only gets when she is in her bed, so more of a reason for her to LOVE her bed). Eventually she will call out to me or I will go on in so we can get the day started.
"Good Morning Mary Stewart" I say, "Hey Mommy" she says. The she looks towards to the door & says "Hi puppy" as Maggie looks in (Maggie isn't allowed in her room). I open her blinds and proceed to ask her about her sweet dreams as I change her diaper. She usually picks out a stuffed animal or doll while I am doing this. As soon as we hit the hallway it "Randi, Randi" (pronounced dan-dee). Today is very sad. Randi isn't here. She has gone home. I really don't know who is going to be more heartbroken me or Mary Stewart (& let's not pretend how Matthew adores his baby sister).
The other day as I was feeding Anna Caroline in the nursery, I was looking around and noticed Randi's clothes, computer, etc. I started to weep (big surprise I know).
I knew I was getting the better end of the deal when Randi came to stay with us for the summer while doing an internship. What I didn't know is how much she would bless me and my family.
My sister said it best when she was visiting in June. She said, "You can just look and tell how much she loves Mary Stewart." I saw such a sweet servant heart this summer. I am weeping now........Thank You Randi for walking me through the summer.
So now I am plotting even harder to get Randi in Atlanta next summer after graduation. I am pretty sure a piece of my heart and Mary Stewart's will be missing until then.

A Belated Birthday Blog......

December is lots of fun for us! Two of my favorite girls have December birthdays & I am way overdue with their birthday blogs. I can't even begin to describe or convey what these 2 ladies mean to me, but here is a shot.
Let's start with my dub......

On December 14, my dub, aka Randi Marie (Matthew's sister) turned 22. Now I know you are wondering what is a dub, she was too the first time I deemed her my dub.... But it's one of those special things that well only dubs share........
When I first met Randi she was just beginning high school had short curly hair and braces.....now she has turned into an abosolutely beautiful young woman. It has been fun to watch her grow up and she has been kind to include us along the way. I love hanging out with Randi because she makes me feel young and kinda cool. She keeps me up to date with the cool music, whats going on at the delta house & most recently the cutest ddd shirt, and just what I need to know. I love that she indulges me. Randi has spent the last 2 summers in Atlanta with us and it has been such a joy to have her around. I love that as the youngest with 3 older brothers she is tough yet she is such a girl! It has been sweet for me to see the way she adores Mary Stewart. Randi, you hold such a special place in our hearts....you are much more than a sister in law, but a sister to me! Happy belated Birthday Dub!!!
Then there is Holly aka Hattie to Mary Stewart.

Holly is my younger sister by 3 years. I know that all siblings have there stages, but I can't really remember a day when I haven't absolutely adored my sister. Matthew thinks our house is a shrine to her (so I have a lot of pics of us.....). I remember in high school having a conversation with a bunch of my friends on how the 2nd sibling is the coolest. I won't mention names, but for most everyone in the group it was true. I remember walking away thinking, that is so true...... The sweet thing about our relationship is that the sibling rivalry doesn't exist. We have never been jealous of the other. I can call her and she totally gets me. I love that our husbands love each other. I love that she too adores Mary Stewart. There is something so sweet as a sister, I think it is because there is a little of each of us in the other. Hollybug we love you! Happy Belated Birthday!
