Well Hello There!

Well Hello There.
It's been awhile.  Where do we start?

I ran a half marathon in December with Emily!  It was so fun.  We stayed with her friend Mary and her family at Kiowah.  What sweet and gracious host.  I now know why Kiowah is Emily's "happy place."

Did I mention we ran the whole thing........

Then there was Christmas. Christmas has yet to be downloaded.  The girls were a cute as you would imagine them to be!
And checkups with Hattie.  Mary Stewart is such a great patient!

I turned 30!   We spent the New Years with sweet friends in the Mountains.  It was a fun, laid-back night and Matthew spoiled me! Perfect 30th birthday.

Then there has been the constant chasing of little girls.

I am finding that the girls either play really well together or it's absolutely a cat fight!
We are working on sharing DAILY!

Mary Stewart is ALL girl.  She loves her accessories and is constantly identifying her self as "Princess Mary Stewart Sleeping Beauty".  I am often reffered to as fairy god mother mommy, Matthew as Prince Charming and Anna Caroline as baby princess Aerial.  It is so fun to watch her pretending.  Makes me want to go back to Disney!!

We've been sick for the entire months of December & January.  Truly, I think there may have been a week where both have been well in the past 2 months.

There have been several afternoon of nap strikes!
Even though Anna Caroline has been sick, she hasn't slowed down a bit!  She is full throttle ALL the time, but boy is she a sweet heart.  Every day she has a new word and that is so fun.  She is fearless, though a little shy.  Her biggest fan is Maggie.  She LOVES that dog.  "Puppy, Puppy," is what I hear all day long.  Anna Caroline will gladly give Maggie any food that she can!

I have come to the realization I don't like winter.  My kids seem to get sick. We are stuck inside.  Our days in the stroller with friends have been non existent.  Truly I have felt like I have been in a cave the past 2 months.  It makes me thankful for spring that is ahead, for days at the park and long walks.
My heart has been heavy lately.  It seems so many around me are suffering from loss- whether a spouse, a child, a friend, a parent, a life they once knew.
I am thankful that in these winter months where everything seems dead and sad I remember-
"The grass whithers, the flowers fade, but the word of the Lord endures forever."
