A Little Easter Fun!

I heart Easter. I am thankful for the resurrection of Jesus. However there is the worldly, I love all things bunny rabbit, that comes out this time of year. Though I don't have many, I love Easter decorations. I think it's because it marks the coming of Spring and pretty days outside and dresses and I'm getting side tracked!

I have been looking forward to dying Easter Eggs with Mary Stewart. I found a cute egg stand on my girls trip to Nashville and it has been beckoning to be filled with fun eggs! Saturday morning I pulled everything out- I found one of those PAAS kits in my Easter box and decided to go with it.

Mary Stewart was very intrigued by the cups filled with dye.

Waiting patiently for those eggs get's a little boring.....

Yeah Pink!!!

Lello!!!

I knew Mary Stewart would enjoy it, I just didn't realize how much her daddy would too!

After I had dyed a couple with Mary Stewart, Matt decided to step in and show Mary Stewart how to really dye Easter Eggs. I wasn't thinking multi colored eggs or even eggs with design......

Very intent on what her daddy is doing.

Two Peas in a Pod

So proud of her Eggs!

Happy Easter!!

Hello Spring!

We have been loving these spring time temps! Mary Stewart's highlight on Saturday was "my turn daddy". What is so sweet is I have this same picture with my daddy when I was about the same age. Sweet simple things with daddy's never become outdated!
I have lot's to catch up on...... potty training, cutting teeth and all of the other fun stuff that comes along with two girls.
For now though I hope you are finding sweet simple memories in all of this beautiful weather!

Breath of Fresh Air

This past weekend I got to sneak away for a breath of fresh air with some of my favorite girls!
We left Friday morning and snuck off to Nashville for the weekend. It was so nice not to be on a schedule, not to worry about bed time or baths or what I was cooking for supper. The conversation was wonderful. We shopped and ate and drank coffee and well that's a perfect combination for me! I am thankful to have sweet friends where we always pick right up where we left off.
I brought my camera to capture some really cute pictures of us, but of course the only one I got is of all of us, no make up, standing in line for pancakes! Because even when there are no babies around, mamma's still tend to wake up early and of course nothing motivates us like food!

Me, Katy, Mary Catherine, Jenny

I have to say a very special thank you to these sweet girls as the stomach bug hit me late Saturday night. Fortunately they are all mom's and nurses so me being laid out didn't ruin everything! Thanks girls for taking good care of me! And a very special thank you to our hubby's for letting us get that much needed breath of fresh air!

Another First

I kept putting it off. I don't know why. I think it was a sign of her becoming that much more of a big girl.

After I finally decided she did in fact need to have her mullet trimmed, it still took me 2 weeks to pull the trigger.

Matt had put the idea in my head that I could do it. Yeah right! I knew the moment I messed up his baby girl's hair, I wouldn't live it down.

Then there is Dee Dee who is quick to pull out the scissors and I figured if she messed it up, well much better than me!

Just a little trim! Turned out perfect!

Will You Be My Valentine?

Aren't I lucky.....

I have these 2 girls (& their daddy) to be my Valentines this year.

This Sweet Pea just keeps getting sweeter.

Watching Mary Stewart come into her own personality is such a joy!

She has such a fun spirit- full of laughter, singing & dancing.

Her love for Anna Caroline grows each day.

May your Valentines be just as sweet!

Anna Caroline's Baptism

On January 15 we had Anna Caroline baptized. It was such a sweet day. We pray she will never know a day without Christ as her Savior.

Anna Caroline wore the same gown Mary Stewart did. The sweet story behind the gown is that it is Matthew's grandmother's Wedding dress from over 60 years ago! Anna Caroline was baptized in her namesake Anna Mae's wedding gown. Sweetness.

We were thrilled to have all of Anna Caroline's grandparents celebrate with us and of course Anut Randi too.
I was interested on how Mary Stewart would do at the front of the church. She sat amazingly well for 30 minutes in "big church" until it was time to baptize AC. As I would expect, she wasn't shy. She was very interested in the musicians and what was going on. At one point, Dr. Gardner picked her up as he was explaining things. This didn't phase her at all!!!

Thankful for my little family.

We celebrated with cake & coffee after nap!

Zoo & 8 Months

I can't believe it's January with the weather we have been having. I am the girl that never would want to live above the Mason Dixon line and certainly not want to deal with snow more than 2x a year so this mild weather has been right up my alley.
Today we went to the zoo with our friends.

Anna Caroline, Mary Stewart, Caleb & Micah

Perfect morning. It is so fun seeing Mary Stewart get excited about all the animals.

Mary Stewart & Caleb loved climbing on the lions. If you listen closely you can hear Mary Stewart "roaring"!

The elephant even showed off for us! Such gently giants!!!

In other news, this doll baby turned 8 months today!

She is almost 16 pounds! She is crawling and moving. She LOVES her sister & it is so fun to watch them interact together. Anna Caroline is finally getting over a cold and we are still waiting for that tooth to pop through. She is such a go with the flow, easy baby.

Thankful for beautiful days, good friends, and the children God has blessed me with!
